Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a whiskey & beer drinking, fishing & hunting loving, motorcycle riding, quality food eating, hippie sympathizing, hobby farm running, people loving, husband & father who lives in Minneapolis and shares a life with my amazing wife and two adorable sons named Oak and Alder. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, and moved to Minneapolis when I was 18 to study music, and I stayed because I’m one of those crazy people that enjoys the snow and cold weather.

Songwriting, and performing those songs for people, is both my trade and my passion. When I’m not in my studio writing and cutting records, or on the road playing shows, I’m usually playing in the woods with our boys, tending to our backyard chickens, eating fresh veggies from my wife’s huge garden, making syrup from our maple grove, or doing one of my many outdoor hobbies.

Sarah Morris & Becky Schlegel

$15Buy Tickets!

For the third year in a row, Becky Schlegel and Sarah Morris invite you to come in from the cold and join them at 318 Cafe—to get cozy for a night of song and story, harmonies and laughter. Twenty years ago, Sarah moved back to Minnesota after a stint in Nashville and had the incredible fortune to sing a few shows as a member of Becky's band. This sweet, now-annual show at 318 Cafe gives them an opportunity to share the stage and sing together once again.

About Becky: Becky's original music draws on classic country, bluegrass, folk, and her own thoughtful spirit. Her incredible voice floats, whispers, then soars above music of the highest quality, taking listeners on a journey that explores new places and meets new people in every song. In addition to her solo work, Becky is a member of supergroups Heartland Souvenirs and Clover and the Bee.

About Sarah: Three-time Midwest Country Music Organization Songwriter of the Year, Sarah's endearingly honest, expertly penned songs deliberately miss the forest for the trees. Armed with a poignantly relatable rainy day ache in her sunlit voice, she weaves a winding path of masterful storytelling and timeless Americana melody that invites audiences to join her in celebrating the magic of our everyday minutia.

Rooted in the timeless craft of 60s/70s songwriting, Tedesco’s music wrestles with the modern condition — the tension between humanity and technology, purpose and pressure. His latest project, The Overwhelming, is being released one song at a time through the DTMC, a streaming platform he built during the pandemic to take back control of how art is shared.

Over the years, Tedesco has shared the stage with artists like Blues Traveler, Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters), Langhorne Slim, Alejandro Escovedo, and Lucero. But his real strength lies in the long game: building a direct, lasting connection with his audience — one story, one show, and one song at a time.

Richard Smith is a British fingerstyle guitarist, renowned for his variety of styles and techniques, entertaining performances and engaging charisma. Born on December 12, 1971, in Beckenham, Kent, England, Smith's musical journey began at age 5. Inspired by iconic guitarists like Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed, Django Reinhardt and Joe Pass, Smith's unique style blends country, jazz, classical and ragtime influences. In his very early years, he received mentorship from guitar greats, laying the foundation for his future success.

richardsmithmusic.com

Pat has been obsessed with the guitar since he first picked one up at age twelve and began learning simple chords and melodies from a Pete Seeger instructional book. His background as a drummer in a garage rock band helped with the transition and he never looked back. As a youth, the St. Paul, Minnesota native pestered guitarists playing at Twin Cities coffee houses and blues venues, seeking tips on playing. Borrowing bits and pieces of the styles of finger picking pioneers he admired, he taught himself to play, building a repertoire flavored by Blind Blake, Django Reinhart and Chet Atkins.

RESCHEDULED: The Long Way Home

$40 … Rescheduled to January 4, 2026 - Look out for Tickets!

This Americana/Rock/Country band formed in 2023 brings together Platinum Recording Artist and Songwriter Michael Shynes (Over 300+ Million YouTube Views and over 100+ Million Streams) and Renowned Musicians Tommy Vee (Son of Legendary Singer Bobby Vee, has backed the likes of Paul McCartney, Brian Setzer, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Chuck Berry to name a few), Jasper Nephew (guitarist for Owl City at the height of their popularity), as well as Bennett Vee and Isaac Levy (touring drummer and guitarist for Jonah Marais and Chase Bryant) who have also worked in the studio with some of the biggest producers and artists in the world. It was born out of a desire to create ‘real authentic guitar driven music’ at a time when digital and AI are said to control the creative future. This band begs to differ, and seeks to prove that you are truly missing something when removing the human element from performed music. Recording their records in a one of a kind space and on analog gear at Tommy’s famed Rockhouse Studio in Saint Joseph, MN, the band has amassed over 3 Album’s worth of material prior to their first commercial release. Joining this core for studio and live performances are some of the finest musicians from around Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities.
