Pat Donohue & Richard Kriehn

Members of the “ Guys All-Star Shoe Band” of Minnesota Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion, for twenty years, Pat and Richard got to show off their savvy licks and distinctive original songs to millions of listeners each week.

“Pat Donohue is one of the greatest finger pickers in the world today.”

— Chet Atkins

Grammy-winning fngerpicker Pat Donohue’s devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard. A versatile guitarist’s guitarist, he plays it all with a fourish of artistry and melodic inspiration. Pat entertains fans with intricate fngerpicking, easy wit, and nimble interpretations of old blues, swing, R&B and original tunes. Leo Kottke called his playing “haunting.”

Richard Kriehn is an excellent guitarist and vocalist but is known as one of the best mandolin players in the world. At only 19 years old he won the Buck White International Mandolin Contest.
